Ms. Melissa Stallings, PA-C

Ms. Melissa Stallings was born and raised in Stanly County, NC. Following high school, she attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington earning a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a minor in Spanish. During her time at UNCW, she was an athlete for the UNCW track team as a javelin thrower. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant where she gained passion for the medical field.

Following her graduation from UNCW, Melissa gained experience as a Medical Scribe in the hospital emergency department along with patient selection for durable medical equipment as a Customer Service Representative. Melissa spent 9 months in Mérida, Spain teaching English to young children and broadening her ability to speak Spanish.

Melissa earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from East Carolina University. As Melissa completed most of her clinical rotations in the Wilmington area, she decided that Wilmington holds a special place in her heart, and she is happy to have the opportunity to work and serve this area!

She enjoys all aspects of medicine but has special interests are in geriatrics and internal medicine. She hopes to work together with patients to develop healthy lifestyle choices to promote disease prevention. She believes that each patient should play an active role in the decision-making process of their care.

In her free time, Melissa enjoys playing sports, traveling, listening to music, and binge-watching a good television show.
