Hello, I'm Michael Hewgley, a dedicated Physician Assistant with four years of experience in primary care. I'm passionate about providing high-quality, evidence-based care to help my patients manage chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and obesity, with a strong focus on reducing cardiovascular risk - one of the leading causes of mortality worldwide.
My journey into healthcare began with a degree in Biological Science from Lee University, followed by a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from East Carolina University. I strive to stay at the forefront of healthcare advancements. I regularly study functional medicine and biohacking concepts with a goal to improve patient care and promote optimal health.
Before becoming a Physician Assistant, I spent several years selling real estate on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I now enjoy spending my free time traveling with my partner, staying active at the gym, cooking, and exploring the outdoors in our beautiful coastal city.
