Tamikka is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who graduated in 2011 with a master's degree in social work from UNC-Pembroke. She was awarded the Sim White Award for outstanding leadership and service, the catalyst to pursue and successfully defend a doctoral degree in Higher Education Executive Leadership from Wingate University in 2017. Tamikka has extensive experience in numerous enhanced mental health services as well as being an outpatient telehealth provider. Her professional background includes working with the military, children and adolescents, and adults of all ages. Tamikka specializes in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, stress, and life transitions to name a few. Along with her clinical experience, Tamikka serves as a copy editor of an academic journal. In her spare time, Tamikka enjoys community service, reading, binge watching 90 sitcoms, HITT, and going on excursions with her active toddler.
